The Springfield Rifles East West Invitational Hockey
Tournament over the weekend featured some of the best teams and
players in New England participating at the U18, U16, U15 and U14 levels.
Games were played at UMass Amherst and at the
Olympia Ice Center in West Springfield, MA.
It was a very well organized Tournament, congratulations to Tournament
Directors Kevin Kervick and Brian Foley...and to all those who worked to make it
successful. It takes a lot of organization and effort to pull off such a
Tournament. Not only great and exciting hockey was played but full information
on teams, schedules, and players was available to fans.
Congratulations to the Division Champions: (Note the excitement and
competitiveness of the Tournament was exemplified by the two shootouts in the
U18 Divisions.)
